OpenID is described as "/a free and easy way to use a single digital identity across the Internet/". While this sounds good, what does it actually mean? How / When / Why would I use OpenID? What is available in PHP to implement this and how to make it look better and more appealing to use for your website visitors? How is this better or worse then normal user/password implementations. This talk will cover the basics of OpenID, demonstrating it's use using PHP and hopefully avoid some common pitfalls when implementing.
